Due Date for Non-Profits is May 15!
Non-Profits (tax-exempt organizations) are required to file an annual return with the IRS. The due date for this return for a calendar year non-profit organization is May 15. If the non-profit organization does not file a return, the IRS may assess penalties and if the organization does not file the return for 3 consecutive years, they will automatically lose their tax-exempt status. You’re allowed to file for an extension.
Please contact our office if you need assistance with filing Form 990 or an extension.
